Today was Speed work on the Treadmill. I had planned to do 8-10 800's. I warmed up for 2 miles at a 7:45 pace. I really was dreading the speed work but, after my first it wasn't too bad. I tried to get most of the 800's under 3 minutes and have a recovery lap in between at a 8:00 pace. Most of them were right around 2:55 and not one was over 3 minutes. On my fifth I even did a 2:45. I felt really good about the run. I ended up with 6 800's and did one mile repeat at a 6:30 pace. Overall I ran 10 miles in 70 minutes and 15 seconds. |
