Today Leslie literally kicked my butt. I was expecting speed work but, not 10 miles with it. I survived but, definitely realized I'm not in marathon training shape. We ran 2.5 miles warm up and then did mile repeats. We averaged 6:30-6:45 pace. The second repeat I only made it an 800. But, finished the third one. I got a little tired the last one and couldn't keep up with Leslie but, I finished it. We were suppose to do a fourth but, talked ourselves out of it. The last 2.5 miles home the wind was blowing and I could really feel the fatigue in my legs from the previous day and just not being in speed work shape. I was definitely tired and realized I need more mile repeats. 10 miles |
