Finally I'm back, well sort of!!! I have been resting a strained Calf muscle. It seems like I have been getting injured a lot more lately. I'm really going to try and add in some cross training and maybe a little weight lifting and see if it helps. Also I need to get outside more-- I think that stupid treadmill is the reason for my last injury. I always get on there and have to push it. That exactly what I did about three weeks ago. Three straight days of long speed work is not good and eventually I felt the punishment! You would think after all my years of running I would be smarter than that. But, there's always a need for more speed! Anyway it felt good to run a little today. I ran a slow pace not wanting to push it. 5 miles 8:30-9:00 pace. |
